Against all odds, Lethal Weapon 4 is up to par (and even better than some) with all of the other Lethal Weapon movies. The action is the best in the series, with the freeway chase being of particular note.
The martial arts of Jet Li is a nice touch as well. Even though the plot is somewhat thin at first and Chris Rock is a little irritating at the start of the movie, it definitely picks up and delivers another fine action flick.
