Review of Lethal Weapon 4 (1998) by Jason O — 14 Aug 2009
This film was a bit darker than the previous, although the dialogue was wittier and funnier than the previous films IMO.
Danny and Mel once again do what they do best in acting maniacle, although Mel is the main figure in this element. Joe Pesci is annoyingly interesting once again.
What really made this movie stand out for me was Jet Li's debut into the american industry. Jet Li is fantastically creative in his combat techniques, and it seems he has no problem playing the villian. +1 for Jet Li especiialy when he takes apart that gun.
The last 2 sequences of the film; the brawl between Jet Li and the boys is quite quirky, and Jet Li certainly holds his own. Finally the family sequence at the very end seemed kind of unneccessary IMO, although it did at a sympathetic factor.
Well done.
