Review of Lethal Weapon 4 (1998) by Peter P — 06 Oct 2012

A good way to close off the series. Although throughout the series Riggs character has seemed to keep mellowing, it was pretty appropriate in this case as both Gibson and Glover should both be at that time in their careers were they stop doing these kinda movies.

That brings me to one of the downfalls to this film, Jet Li. I have nothing against Jet, in fact I like him, but to see him fighting an old Gibson and Glover and losing just seems wrong (It would have been cool though to see him fight Lethal Weapon 1 Riggs, he still would have had to lose, but at least it would have be more believable).

The other addition to the film is Chris Rock, who for the most part works, strangely enough the part I disliked which most people loved was the whole cell phone conversation with Joe Pesci, it just seemed like he was doing a bit and it did not belong.

Pesci is better in this one then in the third one, and it was nice to see his character mature a little in the end. So overall, it is a nice wrap up to the series, but overall it was the weakest of the series and I and glad they did not make a 5th.
