Review of Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) by Blake B — 07 Jul 2009
By far and wide the weakest of the four films. The story isn't there, the villains aren't there -- yet Mel Gibson ad Danny Glover still fire on all cylinders. They're so entertaining to watch as these two characters that it almost doesn't matter.
Renee Russo also adds a lot. However the darkness, the violence, the edge... it's just gone. If it wasn't for the constant F bombs this would be a PG-13 affair. These villains might be the blandest villains of the 90's.
Jack Travis is... well, this guys just a twerp. After a so far grand tradition of truly evil villains, we get a disgruntled ex-cop who's grand evil scheme revolves around housing estate. Lethal Weapon 3 is one of those"3" films.
