Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Natalie L — 02 Jun 2010
Fun action movie retains some of the dark edge and humor of the original while also letting the characters grow a little bit. The addion of Joe Pesci as a over the top version of his usual persona is welcome for at least a little while.
Mel Gibson and Danny Glover (as well as Glover's family and the fellow police officers) are once again very likeable and funny. The plot is your usual incomprehensible mush of bogus cliches and non sequiturs.
The score, as usual, by Eric Clapton is dumb and intruding. Fun but like most big action movies quite forgettable.
