Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Alex B — 20 Oct 2012
It's story doesn't reach the heights the first time around, but the laughs are funnier (pesci MAKES THE FILM) and the chases and shootouts are even more wilder, and the gritt still remains, but some might be put off by that since be warned, despite this being a clear move towards belly-laugh comedy, this is still one of the most ultra-violent mainstream films ever released (particularly from gibson who really shows himself off as the title character in the series more than ever but glover gives the bad guys another reason never to mess with a family man AND partner) but even then it's still played in action mode and you can't help but cheer along.
