Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Tyler R — 11 Jan 2014
I'd say this one is more clever than the first movie, even though there's only two years' difference. The villains are more dastardly and they get taken down in proper fashion. Give Riggs & Murtaugh credit for improvising weapons (and the skill to fight like they've known one another for longer than they actually have). And good grief, there's a TOILET BOMB in this film. Plus a couple bonus bombs later on.
Joe Pesci would be a pain with the nonstop talking like Chris Tucker is in the "Rush Hour" flicks, BUT... he does it in a way that's ACTUALLY FUNNY. Lesson?
