Review of Lethal Weapon (1987) by Richard H — 24 Oct 2013
Caught this on cable, didn't know Richard Donner the director was famous for anything outside the Superman movies. So the two main characters are cops with very different outlooks in life. Mel Gibson portrays Martin Riggs a cop hellbent on ending his own life due to the recent passing of his wife.
Danny Glover plays Roger Martaugh a sensible guy who just turned 50 and is enjoying his life and family. What a great buddy cop movie this is! And Gary Busey lol was perfect as the sort-of muscle for the bad guys.
I remember vaguely seeing the forth one with my parents in the ninety's I thought it was pretty good, I'll have to watch it at some point and compare.
