You don't much more "Classic Buddy Cop" film than this. Lethal Weapon is an instant classic, even spawning one of the most memorable catch phrases to ever come from a film. Lethal Weapon follows two mismatched cops as they follow a trail of drugs.
Shane Black's witty writing mixed with Richard Donner's precision directing make for an entertaining film. Danny Glover and Mel Gibson make for a fantastic duo, and their chemistry is great. Overall, Lethal Weapon is one of those definitive action films that easily stands the test of time.
