Review of Lethal Weapon (1987) by Seth Y — 14 Feb 2015
Lethal Weapon is my go-to flick when I'm in the mood for some buddy-cop action. There are many movies that have tried to recapture the essence of this film, but nothing beats the great chemistry between Danny Glover and Mel Gibson.
A lot of the knockoff films are all action and no substance, but Lethal Weapon surprisingly features some great development. You can't possibly look at the character of Martin Riggs and not be impressed with the complexity, particularly for a film of this nature.
That's something I've always appreciated about this movie. It's action packed, funny at times, and entertaining as hell.
