Review of Lethal Weapon (1987) by Antonio B — 17 Nov 2010
Aside from the pretty much entirely irrelevant fight scene between Mick and Joshua at the end, this was highly enjoyable and classic. Mel Gibson (aside from his crazy 80s hair) is smoking hot and it's easy to see why he used to be one of Hollywood's best - his acting is excellent, from being cold, to deeply heart-broken, to kind of crazy, cocky - whatever was needed.
He felt incredibly real. Danny Glover of course rocks as Murtaugh and you can't help but love the usual dynamic of mismatched partners, because in this instance it works especially well. Highly enjoyable all 'round - I look forward to seeing the sequels.
