Wow. I was not expecting such a terrific movie to be a fucking vampire movie. I really hate vampires. I do. I love fantasy and mythology and werewolves and elves (especially dark elves), but vampires just never did it for me.
They seemed too...well, really shitty. But this movie...god damn it. It forever changed my opinion on these bloodsucking broods of night. This movie was heavily atmospheric, creepy, beautifully lit, and tremendously heartfelt.
Watch it. Now. Or don't. I don't care. But do.
