Review of Let the Right One In (2008) by Danny K — 31 Oct 2012
Easily one of the best horror films from the last 30 years, Let the Right One In works greatly as a coming-of-age drama mixed in as a vampire horror thanks to a well-structured story and a series of intriguing plot twists which play as the sort of vampire film that puts Hollywood to shame.
The film acts as thoroughly intense on frequent occasions and succeeds in delivering a strong chemistry between the two lead youngsters who instantly create sympathy on the basis of their plights. It also benefits from a pitch-perfect ending that only goes to showcase this film as a truly memorable horror that deserves a second viewing for its enjoyable story and clever direction.
