Cute and horrific at the same time. The pace is slow, but it keeps you engaged all the way. I felt that a lot of the back story was left out and as it turns out, it's based on a book and there's indeed a lot more than meets the eye.
However I understand why they ommited certain details in this movie. The acting is really good and the movie doesn't feel cheap at any moment. Definite classic.
