This is one of those movies where you try too hard to make it great. Everyone wants to admire it's artsy feel and direction, and like it because it is different, but it's not. It's dull, boring, and doesn't make total sense.
It's a very poor excuse for a love story/horror film. It's not beautiful, it's disturbing and boring. Try not to think too hard.
