Review of Let Me In (2010) by Brodie A — 03 Jul 2012
The english version of Let the Right One In. I watched the original when it first came out. the resemblance between the two is very flattering. the remake bursts with eerie flavor. the story tells of a 12 year old boy, owen, who has a lonely childhood with seperated parents and is bullied at school.
you will see wedgies so painful he pees his pants. the bullying is almost as difficult to watch as the feedings. abby moves into the same complex as owen and they begin their friendship in the courtyard at night.
as their friendship and love grows owen sees first hand what abby really is. this version is a little more violent and suspenseful than the first in my opinion. this is a remarkable story. the ending always has my full attention.
abby wants owen to stand up for himself and she does her part to protect him. this movie is not complete without the lights turned off and a big pillow to squeeze. I dont normally watch horror movies more than once but I can happily say this movie is worth multiple views.
