Review of Let Me In (2010) by Dann M — 03 Mar 2012
Let Me In is a unique and provocative vampire film. The story follows a 12-year-old boy named Owen who seeks out the friendship of his new neighbor, Abby, but things get complicated when he discovers that she's not just a girl.
Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee are perfectly cast in this film and bring a level of sincerely to their performances that really make this friendship feel authentic. The film explores themes of loneliness, isolation, and the bonds of friendship in a very unique way that's quite captivating.
Let Me In is an unconventional and compelling drama that's especially well-crafted.
