Review of Let Me In (2010) by Ricardo A — 26 Sep 2012
Let me In is another unnecessary American remake of a Swedish superior original. The acting is mediocre, and the dialogue has been lengthened and detailed in an attempt to make the film easier to understand, but at the same time, it has become less sincere.
It does not have the same claustrophobic feel the original has, nor does it have the sense of impending doom surrounding a beautiful and innocent friendship. The friendship created between the two main cast is not very believable, nor does it seem cute.
If anything, sadism somewhat creeps into the main character's life, something that doesn't quite fit.
