If the case hadn't been so controversial then I don't think this would have been such an interesting case to make a film of. Ecclestone acts his socks off and sits well next to Courtney, but dispite the marvelous attention to the period details, seems like a t.
V. movie until we get to the shoot out and the trial. I'd like to have seen more of the courtroom drama. It's not until this point that it gets emotional, and really pulls you in, which really seems a bit long to wait.
An ok film, but if trying to undermine the whole death sentence lobby, could have been better.
