Review of Let Him Go (2020) by Mtza2003 — 11 Nov 2020
Kevin Costner and Diane Lane star as grandparents hellbent on rescuing their grandson and daughter-in-law from their abusive family, going to drastic lengths to get them back. And while it has some tense moments, the film proved to be a bit more of a slow burn than I anticipated.
Things moved at a snail's pace for the most part for me. The acting from all involved also seemed a little stale to me. Storywise, it felt like nothing I had not already seen before, and despite a tense final act, it was not quite enough to justify the rest of the film or its pace for me, not to mention a resolution that felt a little forced .
