The film affectingly stumbles over its own grandeur. While many of the actors do a fine and occasionally memorable job, they also seem to be given more freedom to express their roles the way they choose, which can cause serious problems.
The structure of the film was shoddily slapped together and the director botched it. Such a shame as his previous work is of note.
