Review of Les Misérables (2012) by George C — 27 Dec 2013
Few stunning set pieces win 1 star in this abysmal, unoriginal big screen musical which - even as a gay man - is the only thing I know (film or otherwise) that has ignited such hatred in myself and anger within seconds of it being brought into conversation.
My partner on the other hand, loves it! Two and a half hours of suffering brought to light a shabbly made, average sung, pile of crap that somehow managed to throw Anne Hathaway's cameo in the Oscar light (cough, fix) and stun the world.
..!?! I have heard 1 year old's sing better, and cannot help but name Les Miserable Filme one of the bst comedies made. Set in Montreal (yet the synopsis says France), where locals speak with Cockney, Northern Irish and Australian accents in English before adding on French word - Monsieur.
Really?!? Really!?! I just threw up in my mouth....... again.
