Review of Les Misérables (2012) by Mei-Lin P — 27 Dec 2014
My main difficulty with this movie was that, being familiar with the musical, I found the cut-and-paste repositioning of the music distracting..
I LOVED the fact that the movie alludes to many details from Hugo's original book that got dropped from the musical- the escape to the convent, Gavroche's 'elephant', Grandpere Gillenormand, among others- but they missed one of the most important: they never mention the fact that Gavroche is the Thernardier's son and Eponine's brother!
