Review of Les Misérables (2012) by Gabe C — 24 Dec 2013

I just can't even put into words what this movie means to me. This movie and Spirited Away are my two favorite movies of all time. They will always hold a special place in my heart. I acknowledge that there are flaws, some of the transitions between time periods is rather abrupt, but when a movie gets me so attached to the characters, that it's finale has me sobbing over some key emotional moments, cheering at key victories, and just overall feeling exactly the same way they feel about their situation... Wow. I had never experienced such a feeling in my heart in my entire life. And I get that not everyone had a similar response. But I did. Bravo and bravo les miserables, and thank you for making my heart grow just a little bit bigger.
