Review of Les Misérables (2012) by Alex Bonafide A — 17 Sep 2013
The only problem I had with this adaptation was that 99% of its dialogue was delivered completely by note, which I found to be unnecessary (even at times annoying), and took away a good chunk of the film's potential.
Now with that being said, everything else in this movie was perfect, made with such passion and great detail. Its greatest strength in my opinion were the performances from the main cast, not to mention Hathaway's famous number of "I Dreamed a Dream," which had earned her a spot on my list of one of the greatest performances in motion picture history.
