Review of Les Misérables (1998) by Eric C — 16 Jul 2008
I kind of hated how they ended the movie with Javert's death and Valjean walking down the street with the birds flying. My friend and I talked about it when it came out - he really liked the ending because it showed that he was finally free.
I thought it should have been true to the book and gone all the way to his deathbed confession to Cosette. Anyway, it was still good. And if I spoiled the ending for anyone, I'm sorry but you've had a decade to see the movie, so I don't feel bad for you.
Plus, you should already know the story if you're remotely cultured.
