Review of Les Misérables (1998) by Jeremy S — 12 Jul 2013
Beautifully filmed, and wonderfully acted, especially by the two lead men (Neeson and Rush are powerhouse actors, after all). A very well condensed version of a mammoth novel, and nothing is left out that doesn't have to be.
I hope people do not forget about this one in light of the hit musical version, because fundamentally this is a far superior film.
