Review of Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood (2003) by Eric T — 09 Jun 2007
The capstone to the "Leprechaun" saga, this film meets all of its audience's expectations and hopes, only to continue and exceed them by light years. Ignoring the obvious racial and social commentary for brevity's sake, the film's cinematography and story are excellent.
Director Steven Ayromlooi is a man gifted with a vision far greater and all-encompassing than any mortal man. I suspect him to be an Immortal, but that's another story. This film defines its genre (leprechaun/minority horror) and lends a certain pizzazz to the film industry that, in this day and age of corporate heartlessness, is sorely lacking.
If you don't weep at the end of this film, you are soulless. Warwick Davis 4 Life.
