Review of Leprechaun (1993) by Stefán Birgir S — 14 Jun 2010
The very definition of a guilty pleasure, you can also put this on the very top of the so bad it is good collection.
Warwick Davis has gone through life playing cute cuddly Ewoks, a magical Dwarf, and a Professor at Hogwarts. So I can only assume that he was all to happy to play a sadistic Leprechaun who will kill anybody who takes his precious gold. Davis is really the only reason to watch this film, because 1) Jennifer Aniston is annoying as hell in this movie and 2) Warwick Davis as the Leprechaun is one of greatest horror villains ever. Sadly, they showcased the character in a shit movie, then polished the turd a little bit and made a bunch of sequels.
But like I said, this film is great for late night viewings with friends it will surely get a few laughs, and maybe if you are lucky you will get the one friend who doesn't handle Horror very well and they will jump a few times.
