Review of Leprechaun (1993) by Peter R — 21 Jun 2009
This movie was stupid, cliched and unfunny. It has many problems:
- The characters are annoying and stupid; they are a guy that looks like John Stamos, a whiney Jennifer Aniston, a smartass kid with a stupid striped shirt and a retard that thinks that he can become unmental.
- The leprechaun is also very annoying and stupid. He likes to spew out corny, unfunny one-liners as he tries to live and kill the other main characters in this story. He tries to be funny, but fails utterly at it.
He comes off more as goofy and unfunny rather than funny and scary. Not only that, but he seems to have a lot of energy in him as he appears quickly towards the others.
- The ending is also very dissapointing, I didn't want the leprechaun to die; I wanted him to kill off every single one of the other characters, but he dies in the end just like any stupid, predictable horror/slasher movie.

Overall, this movie sucks. It's even worse than "Wishmaster" and it's almost as bad as that "Black Christmas" remake. 4/10.
