Review of Leprechaun (1993) by Notorious T-I-A — 13 Jul 2008
I remember watching this movie late at night on TV when I was a kid, before I was allowed to watch horror movies, and being scared out of my mind by it.
Now I can't stop laughing when I watch it. Jennifer Aniston in her first major role, and Warwick Davis playing the title character perfectly, this little horror gem is a classic.
While I find it's a bit TOO silly at times, and could have been better if played a bit more serious, I liked how they incorporated stuff from the legend of Leprechauns, to use as weapons against him (4-Leaf clovers, the fact that he has a need to shine and clean shoes, ect).
Some of the acting is pretty bad though, except from Warwick Davis, and it's not as gory as I remember it being (But then again, back then I had never seen a horror movie before).
Still, this is diffinitly a classic and a must-see for all interested in horror movies. Not the best the series has to offer, but by far not the worst.
