Review of Leonard Cohen: Live in London (2008) by David W — 01 Jul 2011
Leonard, pushing 80, comes off like the Dali Lama here, the sprightly elder full of wisdom. I was hard pressed to think of a favorite that was missed in this set. The arrangements of the songs complement Leonard's vocals.
I've heard him live in the past and it didn't come off as well. It's hard to imagine this appealing to non Leonard Cohen fans. If you enjoy singer songwriters like Dylan or Lou Reed, you should check out Leonard Cohen's work.
