Review of Léon: The Professional (1994) by Douglas L — 15 Nov 2011
Leon the professional is one of my favourite films and for many reasons. I love its mix between American and European flavour, (the american city, but european music, the dress-up, etc.) you were almost waiting for subtitles.
if you watched the Americanized "the professional" unfortunately you get more of a US flavour. I like the relationship that they made in the film between Leon and Mathilda. It was very conflictual of what they wanted from the relationship, but no matter what, their love was there.
Also, they explain interesting 411 on hitmen, always a plus. Gary Oldman is a nutcase. It just seems that everything in this film worked out well.
