Review of Léon: The Professional (1994) by Adam K — 24 Jul 2012
Beyond just being one of the best action films of my time, this is also in my top ten films ever made. Luc Besson's thrilling hitman with a heart film is only a wild piece of European styled action film making, its also a human story that is as equally moving as it is entertaining.
Reno and Portman carry a chemistry that is flawless and Gary Oldman's turn as the film's villain is a masterful acting job that is as precise and memorable as it is terrifying. Many films after have taken notes and studies the techniques of this film and its influence still holds up today.
