Review of Léon: The Professional (1994) by Beau D — 04 Oct 2012
This movie is as stylish and cool a film as you could expect to see, given that its an oddball romance between a hitman and a child. Reno delivers with subtlety, but wins the empathy of the audience, while Oldman's over-the-top villain is near comic in his absurd wickedness.
Even Portman's performance is surprisingly good. Overall, Besson has given us here is a stylish and thrilling action movie that packs an emotional punch too.
