Review of Léon: The Professional (1994) by Natalie F — 17 Nov 2012
Leon is an enduring film which is punchy and luxurious. It juggles dark uncomfortable tunes such as sexual deviance in minors, murder and familiar disfranchisement, with light comedic moments that melt your heart.
The casting was perfect, Portman excelled in her role, and the visuals were more than pleasing. It's an atypical film that gets to you, without laying down and giving you what you want. 5 stars.
