This movie and La Zoo La Nuit made Lauzon my new and all time favourite Canadian director. And he was young too...which made me excited to look forward to years of great movies. Leolo is a bizarrely distorted, lovingly rendered, sordid, semi-autobigraphical movie.
I weep solidly for hours when I heard of Lauzon's death in 1997, truly great loss.
