Review of Lenny (1974) by Bester L — 21 Nov 2007
Caveats: this movie would never have worked if anyone else had played him, so how you feel about Dustin Hoffman in the seventies is the deal-breaker here cause there wasn't a more Dustin-Hoffman-in-the-seventies movie than this one.
Caveat two, and this one may make more sense, Hoffman as Lenny Bruce is as funny as Lenny Bruce himself is in the recordings of him that I've heard. Also: do you like Miles Davis?
