It's no secret that Disney Channel original flicks are one of my favorite things. Just when you think they've let you down with things like HS Musical 2, they hit us with this. A grungy, more realistic HS loser to Pop Star fame story of 5 kids who meet in detention and start a revolution.
Yes, it sounds cheesy and cliche, but seriously- watch it. Instead of one or two spotlights like other Disney flicks, no one member outshines the others. We've watched it at least 5 times now and I'm planning on buying the soundtrack.
.. Disney really knows how to make kids shine. Let's hope this bunch stays more grounded than their predecessors.
