Review of Lemmy (2010) by Michael L — 27 Feb 2011
A great second and third act of this docuworship lie sandwiched between rocker after rocker after rocker trawled out to say just how wild and real Lemmy is. When Wes Orshoski and Greg Olliver get past their apparent awe with their subject matter and the rockerati get credible by association, there's a genuinely fascinating biopic in there.
Lemmy comes over as warm, grounded - a tank, Nazi paraphernalia, JD loving rock machine, living the life by doing not saying. Too long, as all fan based work is, but worth it for the Lemmy in shorts, Lemmy with son, Lemmy at home and Lemmy in the Rockin Vicars.
