Review of Lemmy (2010) by Simon D — 30 Dec 2011
Quite interesting although pretty contradictory to what I'd heard about Lemmy. Rather than being constantly on the lash, he seems to be an weird old Englishman who sits in a pub playing quiz machines.
He very readily speaks about the excesses of the past which appear to be long gone. The film surprisingly doesn't focus on this, and the fact that he's now a lonely old man living in what looks like a Nazi bunker full of crap.
To be fair the film does seem to take an objective stance leaving you to notice these things for yourself, instead it seems to be more about the music than anything else.
