Lucas gets a new job and invites his boss and boss's wife (Rampling) to dinner. Rampling causes a scene, then tries to seduce Lucas then commits suicide in his home. Gainsbourg (Lucas's wife) then goes a bit mad and has an affair with, then conspires with Lucas to murder the boss.
Then a Hollywood ending ! It's completely mad of course. And there's more than one Lemming in it too.
