Review of Legion (2010) by Chris G — 01 Aug 2012

I went into Legion with an open mind, despite hearing that it was one of the worst movies of 2010. And boy oh boy, what a piece of crap it is. The movie is for the most part so damn boring that I contemplated turning it off a couple of times.

It is THAT boring. The characters offer nothing to the movie. For the most part, they spew these supposedly deep monologues, but they do nothing to develop the characters themselves. I guess the filmmakers thought that if they threw in some emotional dialogue that it would make their movie deep.

Yeah, it doesn't work that way. And this whole plan about God being pissed at mankind thing was another thing I didn't buy. I could think of a million more efficient ways to exterminate mankind than rogue angels.

And the last 15-20 minutes of the movie were just stupid. There are so many plotholes that I don't even know where to begin. The sad thing is I actually like Paul Bettany. He's a decent actor, but the stuff he has to say and do really bog down his character.

So yeah, Bettany is the best part. Everything else in this film straight up sucks.
