Review of Legends of the Fall (1994) by Jonathan G — 03 Dec 2010
Brad Pitt shines in this overwritten melodrama (wannabe epic). Rightly deserving of its Academy Award for cinematography, but how can you do a bad job filming in such beautiful countryside. Tristan (Pitt's character) plays the perfect and identifiable antihero/prodigal son.
Although the plot seems neverending, it definitely keeps you entertained - yet emotionally unattached. Surely it's worth a rental. Plus, Julia Ormond stole my heart.
