Review of Legends of the Fall (1994) by Marcus W — 30 Nov 2009
This is a soap opera poorly disguised as a film: three brothers all love the same woman and all shag and marry her except the youngest who goes off to war and doesn't come back - but missed his chance before he left.
Pitt (brother number 2) goes off around the world, when he comes back woman has shacked up with brother number 3 so Pitt marries local girl who is later killed so Pitt kills them and they then try to kill him but fail because brother number 3 shoots first, and then Pitt fights a bear and is killed, and it's all done to a majestic score and sweeping vistas.
It's also tosh.
