Review of Legends of the Fall (1994) by Tommy M — 11 Jan 2012
This movie is about a General and his three sons and their relationship with each other through betrayal and unbreakable bonds of blood. The three brothers go to fight in World War I even though their father tried to convense them not to go.
Brad Pitt's character went to protect his youngest brother. After the War Brad Pitt's character has completely changed and his love who was his former brothers love is his. Throughout the movie Brad Pitts character keeps on having really bad things happen to him and you wonder how he survives.
Then for the oldest brother he survives the war and then he becomes part of congress. Anyways my description of the movie was very bad and there is a lot more to the movie and story then I could really write.
The acting by everyone but Julia Ormond was really good expecially Brad and Anthony. The cinematography was really good and the movie was really believeable. I really didnt like Julia Ormond in this movie because I didnt think she did a good job at acting and I also dont know why these three men would be so in to her.
It also had some awkward moments because I think you shouldnt fall for the person that your brother is married/engaged to and then steal her away but maybe that's just me. The rest of the movie other then the parts with Julia were good and interesting to watch.
The character development throughout the movie was really cool by seeing how they were at the beginning and then how they were at the end made the movie worth watching.
