Review of Legends of the Fall (1994) by Annie R — 24 Feb 2009
Rewatched this and while I really like the depth of the characters in the Ludlow family, I really cannot stand the character Susannah- everything is heartbreaking drama for this character and we aren't allowed to see a dimension other than depressed.
The film has it's emotional ups and downs, and several tear jerker scenes (Tristan's return home, Isabel in the car, the showdown, etc...) At least the ending idea is pretty satisfying, even if the footage is a beat cheesy compared to the rest of the film.
I would definitely like to read the book.
