Review of Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return (2014) by Brent H — 16 May 2014

You have to remember that some kids movies really are for kids. The animation was beautiful and eye catching, the songs were beautifully sung but not memorable (come on now, Bryan Adams, I was expecting more).

Martin Short was the villain in both Oz and Kansas, and Dorothy was the only one in both places who was brave enough to stand up to him or question his authority. She's a little girl, so that was a little weird.

It was a shame that the all-star cast was wasted on the uninteresting dialogue, but the bottom line is that my eight year old enjoyed it.
