After Ip Man 1 and 2, this was a poorer show in those comparisons. The storyline is more batman then Chen Zhen, while the overall look just makes other action shows look better.
Unfortunately Kato appeared shortly later, confusing movie audiences as to the perennial question, "which came first?".
