The Guardian was right. It's a great dual performance by Tom Hardy in a very, very mediocre film. Lots of "tell not show" voiceover (crammed with excruciating writerly phrasing), coupled with a Cockney-geezer supporting cast that seems to have wandered in out of a 1990s post-Lock-Stock cash-in film, and a wildly fluctuating tone.
